Brown Dwarf
A brown dwarf is a large red-hot planet. Nearly a star, it is of sufficient mass to ignite fusion fires at its core. A planet 10 times the mass of Jupiter will be sufficient to start the burning.
Here a brown dwarf is seen from the surface of a passing comet, fragmenting from the heat. A thin ring of debris surrounds the planet-star.
