Bob Eggleton, 52, is one of the hottest and most prolific artists on the scene today. Bob is a multiple award winner not only for his finely detailed space art, but he is equally at home doing science fiction, fantasy, space. and horror art. He was awarded the prestigious HUGO award seven times. He is a frequent guest of honor at science fiction conventions all over North America and the world.




As part of a commission to do a Japanese calendar featuring
the Northern Lights, Bob was sent on several trips to
Alaska to paint firsthand. This was one of his studies,
featuring the Aurorae over Mt. McKinley, known locally as
Denali.

severely distorting one or both components. Although the
collision may look violent, the chances of two stars
actually colliding are about the same as two flies in the
Grand Canyon.

This is a view from the surface of "Q" one of the
larger fragments of comet Shoemaker-Levy 9. "Q"
was broken up into at least two fragments. The comet
fragments impacted Jupiter from July 16-22, 1994.
